Peace Beyond Understanding

📖 今日经文 · Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Paul wrote "do not be anxious about anything" from a Roman prison, facing possible execution. Peace, he shows us, does not come from easy circumstances but from a heart anchored in God.
Paul gives worry a concrete exit: "in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Notice "everything" — nothing is too small to pray about, and nothing is too big for God to handle. And notice "thanksgiving": counting God's past faithfulness in the middle of trouble is one of faith's most powerful exercises.
The promise is not "you will get everything you ask for" but "the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds" — like a soldier standing watch over your innermost thoughts in the storm.
What is keeping you awake at night — work, children, health, the future? Stop right now and tell God about it, one thing at a time, with thanks.
Prayer: Lord, I cast my anxieties on You, because You care for me. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.
