Prayer

❓ Does God really hear my prayers?

Sometimes I pray for a long time and nothing seems to change. If God already knows everything, why pray at all?

Prayer is not giving God information — it is a child talking with a loving Father. Jesus Himself often withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16). Scripture promises that God hears His children (Psalm 34:15, 1 John 5:14), but hearing does not always mean answering the way we expect: sometimes the answer is "yes", sometimes "wait", and sometimes "I have something better". Paul asked three times for his thorn to be removed, and God answered, "My grace is sufficient for you" (2 Corinthians 12:8-9). Often the first thing prayer changes is us — we learn to trust, surrender and obey. Start small each day: give thanks, confess, pray for others, and bring your needs to God with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6-7).
